Biography of Shannon Thompson
I started expressing myself as a means to get over depression stemming from probably what is considered normal high school pressures and the search for my own identity and place in the world. I don't pretend to be any good, I like reading poetry and until recently didn't think I would ever write it. However, I have found it theraputic. After two of my poems, 'if do' and 'rain wind trees (three) ', were selected by my high school's literary magazine, I sought out better ways to put my feelings into words for the enjoyment of all. I'm interested in what you think, and what advice you could offer me.
Shannon Thompson's Works:

there were stars in your eyes
going in the wrong direction
you put my world in reverse
after you burned it out
you pulled me up to knock me down
