Deny The Butterflies

'Who can deny these butterflies? '
A girl mumbles under her breath
As she watches the black night sky become red
The flames reaching higher and higher into the sky
Consuming everything in their path
The girl, unafraid
Rather she seems amused
She stands unmoving, unfazed in fact
As the ashes rain down from the sky, getting caught in her lashes
A twitch of a smile is the only movement she makes.
Everything is quiet now
Everything, everyone gone
She then turns to walk away
Her gaze upon the ground
Her words echoing into the empty darkness
'Who can deny these butterflies? As the world burns to the ground, I relax and watch its beauty unfold into darkness...'
And with that's she vanishes
Not a trace nor sound present
Just a wisp of dust twirling where she once stood
The blood moon hiding behind clouds
