Shaunee Gwindale Poems

When I fell
My wings were broken,
and dust had filled my eyes.
A stab in the back
...

One has a the slipper
the other has the armor
destined to be woven together
no consent to either
...

Does time ever laugh?
When it looks down on earth
and says
'Pity them always rushing
...

A promise is forever
or it's supposed to
I'm sorry I failed
you're gone now

When I Fell

When I fell
My wings were broken,
and dust had filled my eyes.
A stab in the back
with a newly sharpened blade
from one from behind
- a supposed friend
clouded by pitch darkness
till I hear the words
now my trust is gone
and our backs are turned
forever to be entangled
in this lovely pose.
For no one can say nevermore
if everything we have is nothing
now can they?
But true friends
bought me up
and kept me up,
while you dropped
me to the ground
now look we can smile
because you're wonderful
rose thorns are no more
for now you are filled
with joy
because you repented
so we can both live in joy
or is that just another
mind trick of yours?
