A knife to slit my throat
A noose to tie around my neck but then I'd need some rope
Some pills to swallow down me

fallen angels demons in disguise
all is untruth and all is lies
the sacred is become defiled

I had a dream in days gone by but that dream did die
and wastrels flock to run a mock upon the tainted sky
for death I plead but where it leads may not in heaven reside
my pride is strong but it won't be long before I am denied

There is no heaven there is no hell we are just living in a wishing well
time keeps turning on and on but sooner or later it will all be gone
live or die all is swell we are just living in a wishing well

God knows I am the best psychiatrist within reach of a day all else is rubbish all else is hearsay
I am the best at diagnosing illness it's like staging a play, I am the director they are the malaise
I have no complaints they're compliant the lot on medication perhaps they forgot
neurological suppression is always the best a chemical straight jacket and you're under duress

A voice echoes in my mind
I need to rehabilitate mankind
I need to contain the schizophrenic
with drugs powerful and eugenic

Life is a prison
Life is hell
Life is full of problems
It makes me want to yell

My heart strives to learn
I do not want to burn for heresies untold
