Silent Soliloquy

Silent Soliloquy Poems

He's his own biggest fan
Loves the sound of his own voice
Never listening, only talking;
you don't really have a choice
...

Like a warm, spring rain
your laughter falls around me,
washing away the dust from
my dry, parched spirit;
...

Come my love...my only love

Look deeply into the emerald waters of my eyes,
where your reflection shimmers in these twin, limpid pools
See the passion unbridled I can no longer contain,
...

Could there ever be a greater joy
than that experienced by a woman
on the day of the birth
of her firstborn
...

If you knew the hours spent
Longing for your touch;
The days and nights I've
Dreamed of you
...

Her hair was like sunlight,
framing a face that could only
have belonged to an Angel.
...

The distance between us is greater than
the miles that separate us; for we
both know that a love between
'May and December' can never be
...

I have a new addiction
'PoemHunter' its name
I fear no contradiction
For others feel the same
...

How long this need, restrained beyond
the limits of all tolerance,
consumes my every waking thought.
The fear of what is beyond that
...

Move closer love, and read my lips
Trace them with your fingertips
Endless feelings bring to bear
Those timeless words that linger there
...

Silent Soliloquy Biography

Found out, quite by accident, that I had a gift for writing in 2004, and have been writing since then. In those years, however, I've not written a lot; I'd like to think, though, that what I've written and posted has been quality. I much prefer quality over quanity. If you happen by, I hope you will find something to your liking, and that you will enjoy what you've found.)

The Best Poem Of Silent Soliloquy

The Joker

He's his own biggest fan
Loves the sound of his own voice
Never listening, only talking;
you don't really have a choice

See him elevate himself
On something that's not there
The only thing comes out his mouth
Is a blast of pure hot air

Doesn't really seem to care
What those around him think
But if he really had a clue,
Would his ego ever sink

Oblivious to naught but his
Self-deprecating 'pride'
While all the while, his pitiful
Style's in dire need of a guide

To those forced his comp'ny
A laughingstock, at best;
Pitied by those closest to him
A run-you-ragged pest.

Does this guy seem familiar?
You know someone this could be?
It's not that hard to figure out
The Joker, friend, is ME
