Sun Child

Upon a time it happened once;
and once upon a time:
A story during which you'll sense,
Betrayal as a crime.

A heart cut with a kitchen knife
but spirit still too wild,
the girl with no one in her life,
The Sun made her his child.

The Sun kept shining all her days
and when at night she sleeps,
It's when The Sun -despite his may-
feels cold and gently weeps...

A day of these; she slept all noon
and woke up in the night,
When Raven stared into the moon...
...The moon, 'SHE THOUGHT' was bright!

She stared, She gazed, She thought of none...
... But of the moon so grey,
till she forgot about The Sun
that brightens everyday...

The Sun then vowed, with Burning pride,
his moon to never share!
And from the girl he swore to hide
his Everlasting Flare!

And leave the lonely girl to see
Whichever love is worth...
...the hard way, as The Sun will be
brightening another Earth!
