I Said I'M Sorry, But I'M Not

I said I'm sorry, but I'm not
For there are many people in our world with greater pains than thee
I shall not lament one that does resent
And is vexed by a single intake of breath

There are several events in one's life
Where one does something and does regret
It could be said and heard,
Or sad and hurt,
And have the affect of a flaming dagger through the heart

But when one is vexing and simply disagreeable,
They do not deserve what their ego allows
They shan't be the one with the flaming dagger
And can't be the one who slits thy heart

They ask for forgiveness with atrocious hatred in their eyes,
But you say sorry, even if you're not
