After The Storm Poem by Sarah Persson

After The Storm

Rating: 5.0

After the storm I watched with wide eyes,
Til the crests of the waves had gentled in rhythm,
Til the winds had calmed and the trees were stood tall,
And the crisp evening air calmed my thoughts.

I still see your smile through the dark winter nights,
And a mixture of emotions are felt and I smile,
The thought that I knew you and the scope of how much
I still miss you, your love, your gentle, soft touch.
