to go against the grain is to be an individaul
and struggle to survive when teenage life gets critical
from having to decide what morals to apply
to taking mom's advise her words u must live by
in the game of life the challenge is to beat
the karma i have caused ur daughter can't repeat
to go against the grain is not to win the race
but leading all your peers to walk among your pace
when struggle means survive the media and lies
to always love yourself the future is the prize
so go against the grain don't look for validation
but find in yourself
no time for hesitation! !
