Alien Poem by Dennis Walker

Alien

I see a twinkle up in the sky a far of distant light
Among hundreds it caught my eye shining o so bright
Why did this one make me stop and stare?
I have seen many stars before without even a care
Its delicate beauty captured me
The twinkling from such a distance I could see
As I watched for some time at it winking
It hypnotized me it got me thinking
It made me wonder if someone was there looking at me
I contemplated if they are happy if they are they free
I wonder if some day we will meet
Seeing an alien walking down my street
Would we great them with peace and fun
Or would it be at the point of a loaded gun
