Another Day Poem by Bill Simmons

Another Day

Rating: 5.0

I get up and I wash my face
I shave and I comb my hair
I see me in the mirror standing there
Another day I’ll put on a smile
Pretending all the while
Another day pretending somehow that you care

Another day comes now
I’ll make it through somehow
Somehow I’ll make it through another day
I know I’m strong
Somehow I’ll hold on
I’ll hold on until comes the dawn

Then all of my strength
Will somehow slip away
As the sun ends the day and the night it falls
Then the tears will fall
When I am all alone
I guess I wasn’t strong enough at all

The next day I wash my face
I shave and I comb my hair
And again I’ll see me in the mirror standing there
Another day I’ll put on a smile
Pretending all the while
Another day pretending somehow that you care.
