Are You A Ghost? Poem by Tilly Rivers

Are You A Ghost?

Are you a ghost?
Someone I have made up in my mind
Do I love you? Do you love me?
I suppose we will never know
I reach out and you are not there
You reach out I am a wisp of air
Maybe I am the ghost
For I can not seem to find me
And I certainly can not seem to find you
Why have our paths and hearts crossed?
Or did they cross at all?
Are you a ghost?
No- it must be real
For ghosts can be seen more often
Only reality is so painful, cold and silent
Invisible lines of hurt
Ghosts I do not fear
This silence I can not bear

Silence itself is a ghost. Last two lines are really beautiful and uplift the whole poem.
