Autumn Leaves Poem by Hannah Rippon

Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves falling down
Gently drifting round and round
Brown and yellow ones, red ones too
Swirling, curling with the wind

Landing softly on the ground
Crunch, crunch, crunch
They make the sound
Autumn leaves so crisp and nice
Take flight at night and disappear

No more colour, no more crunch
Autumns gone, the trees' now bare
So silent it waits and sleeps at night
To welcome the spring and the leaves of life

How original, Hannah. I love the line 'swirling, curling with the wind'. I would change 'around and around' to 'round and round' to smooth the flow but otherwise, the rhythm is lovely. I'm most impressed.
