Bad Moon Rising Poem by Dee Corpolongo

Bad Moon Rising

Rating: 5.0

Bad Moon Rising...

There is a beautiful moon in the sky tonight

Shadowed partly by some clouds drifting by

I stare in awe at such an amazing sight

while my thoughts seem to drift with a sigh

Once again, I think what'll finally become

of drowned feelings that still are there

for the smiles given, a love so driven

that made our love feel so rare

Believing dreams really do come true

and hoping that you'll one day see

the ending result and final destination

of a love that was meant to be

But sadly you can't help but wonder

when you're left with but only a song

As you listen to the distant thunder

wondering why it all went so wrong.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was thinking about my last love who had sadly died suddenly, about 4 yrs. ago. I seem to reminisce each Valentines Day as it was about then and such a shock.....and I do miss him very much.....

The moon at times seems the perfect companion, while our heart grieves lost love. Hanging above us in a velvet calm....still beautiful in it's shine, but knowing sadly just how far away it truly is. Sorry for your loss, when it is a sudden one, we seem to revisit it with unchanged emotion. A lovely tribute herein. PEACE

sometimes, I must wonder, if your last line does not really state a fact for all humanity... very, very good writing/thinking.

Love falls before Fate Dee. We never know, and should never know, what might have been. Commiserations from one who has been there. Hugznstuff

A very lovely and compassionate write. Words written with deep sentiments and feelings of loss. Yet still brings hope. Thanks for sharing.
