Best Friend Poem by Jennifer Hanson

Best Friend

Rating: 4.5

We used to be best friends,
The best to be exact.
We thought that it would never end,
We had an unbounded pact.
We said we'd stay forever,
The best that friends could be.
But somehow we let it sever,
And now it is just me.
I lay awake every night,
And wonder how this can be.
My world has turned from colour to white,
How could you do this to me?
You have a new best friend now,
And don't care about me any more.
You proved that you could be a cow,
And now I'm closing the door.
