Black Magic Woman Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Black Magic Woman

Black magic woman

The black nightscalls your name,

Unfazed to scocery
We made the date on purpose
Too far from reality.

As wind summons the ripples on the complacent pond,

Gusts to wits, blown to maelstrom
I raced for the scent of unlucid perfumes,
Night planted fuschias of incense and myrrh,

I can be distracted by your scent,
I ran marathons with my heart in the hope of catching you.

These ghost sleeping in the lairs of the icons
kindly thebed for two lonely strangers,

So every night l chased this fevers in your dark dreams,

Converge with the diamond of the stars,
A spawn made by my dark desire,

Meeting mouths to orifices,
Sealed pledges with ambrosaic lips.

Until the musk of the sea weeds sprouts from the fountains of hot fire,
swimming in the soft coital, post mortem body to be in bed with you.
