Blankety Blank Poem by Ima Ryma

Blankety Blank

So many times I have sat down
To write profoundly on blank page.
I sit a while, then start to frown.
The words I want don't disengage.
So this time I went to the store
And bought a Thesaurus on sale,
Should have the words I want and more.
I sat back down to write detail.
But when I opened up the book,
All the pages in it were blank.
Over and over I did look.
My hopeful attitude just sank.

I have no words to describe how
So very angry I am now.
