Blind Poem by Patrick Tolan

Blind

Rating: 5.0

i miss you like, i've lost my sight
insides too dark, outside, too bright
i miss you like, my chest feels tight
if we could arrange, tonight we might
i miss you like, a lucky strike
a pain intense, my heart on a pike
i miss you like, i miss you like

i miss you like, not coming home
about this subject, should write a tome
i miss you like, a fire wouldn't; foam
a weakened defence, of steel and chrome
i miss you like, my heart to stone
its just not good enough to be on the phone
i miss you like, a blind mans cane
to make it out, is such a strain
i miss you like, i see you now

i see you now, a heart elevation
a moment of pure, uninhibited elation
i see you now, an image of near perfection
to have you with me would gain perfection
i see you now, freedom personified
no-one to stop you, no-one iconified
i see you now, but a whisper of the future
potential to fill, a beautiful picture
i see you now, i see you go

don't go, i want you here
i need you here, not the spear
i miss you, a guitar without strings
the deathly noise that no sound brings
i saw you then, a kindred lost soul
mine was deep black and made of coal
i see you go, i go blind

Hi Patrick, You are so compassionate. You are really talented, Again this is a beautiful poem I love this one and the other one. They are excellent. Take care and keep writing.

Beautiful...It's rare that a poem strikes me in a way that I can totally relate to what the writer is conveying and feeling, but this one exceeded odds.
