Cat And Mouse Poem by Jeremy Williams

Cat And Mouse

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes in life
I feel like a cat
Always waiting
Anticipating
That mouse
Somewhere in the house
Needs chasing
Up and down
All around
The endless goal
There in its hole
But what is the mouse
Without the cat
Waiting for it
Sat on its mat?

All that is missing with the last line is 'wearing a hat.' Try this poem again without all the rhymes. It is a good idea and made me smile...but the rhymes seemed to take away something. Often when people try too hard to rhyme, they end up having to say things they didn't mean. Just my opinion, mind you. Raynette
