Circle Of Light Poem by Christine Natale

Circle Of Light

Rating: 4.4

There is always a circle of golden around her
In the depth of the winter, a midsummer glow
Her presence illumines the terrible blackness
Of midnight despair and lessens the woe.

Child of Russia and daughter of danger
Her innocence lost in the midwinter snow
The love of a poet and passionate lover
Mother of daughters she never will know.

Shining forever in love and in memory
Flower of gold of the high mountain snow
She offers her blessed donation of freedom
To all whom she loves and all that they know.

Her gentle, compassionate visage can never
Fade or grow faint in the deep Russian snow
She lives as a symbol of true revolution
Her golden heart lightens the ice-world below.
