Dear John
The stars told me you would be mine;
The sea whispered you would be mine;
The birds sang you would be mine;
They lied!
Your eyes told me you would be mine
Your smile told me you would be mine
Your touch told me you would be mine
They lied!
You left me and went away
abandoning me in a dark hole
that is my life; i dig and i dig but
there is no light; there is no you
The ants told me you would be mine
The sand told me you would be mine
The rocks told me you would be mine
They lied!
The universe is lying to me
you left and abandoned me
in this deceitful universe
There is no you!
