Denial Poem by Amber Green

Denial

Rating: 5.0

I still cry.
I still ache.
I still destroy myself.
I still want you to hold me.
I still compare everyone to you.
I still dream of our wedding.
I still scream for you.
I still hate her for taking you.
I still think of you.
I still miss you.
I still wonder about you.
I still want to push you away.
I still lie to myself.
I still long to hold you.
I still wish to die.
I still reach for you.
And mostly,
I still love you.
But if you were to ask me…
I’d deny all of this.

definitely wonderful. I know this feeling. And I STILL feel that way. Isn't it amazing what they leave behind?
