Disconnect Poem by Austin Moore

Disconnect

With gritted teeth, we stare blankly
Hand in hand, our love enkindled
This field spreads to every horizon
She and I are the only ones that see
Two stone paths, leading to nowhere
We silently decide at the fork in the road
I go right, she goes left
I turn my head almost violently
To painfully see
She no longer wants me
