Dreamer Poem by Louise Bizzari

Dreamer

Rating: 5.0

I prefer to be a dreamer and roam among the stars
On moonlit nights with dancing lights that twinkle near and far
I'll close my eyes and drift away like whispers in the wind
To touch the sky and feel the earth and listen there within
I'll wander where the phantoms go
Aveiled in mist and cloud
Where echo's of forgotten years
Sleep silently unbowed
While in my twilight fantasy within the eye of day
I dream like sleep awakening as time just slips away
As slowly as the melting sun descends into the light
And shadows whirl across the sky and fade into the night

Great poem and as John Lennon sang in 'Imagine': 'They may say I am a dreamer but I'm not the only one'... I am a dreamer too.. Well done for this lovely piece. HBH

This is beautifully expressed. So much of who we are is what we dream. In those moments 'tween sleeping and waking, the pages of our lives are written. Thank you. God Bless, BettyJo

Wow, very beautiful poem. This is so me. A dreamer or a deep thinker, always gone in my mind or somewhere I wish to be... and this time will come. Another splendid poem Louise. ~JD~
