Fall Of Man Poem by Teigan Klippel

Fall Of Man

You are faltering
In the lies that have been told
Swept up in your own dreams
That has become nothing more than nightmares
That haunts you
On the eve of destruction
Is where you will fall
The angels in heaven will glance down upon you
Will they offer their help?
Or will the let you drown
The demons in hell
Will glance up at you
Will they guide you?
Or will they let you fall?

My dear
It has become easy to see
You are no god
You are nothing you portray to be
You are nothing but a man
Just like us all
And in the end
There is nothing left but for you to fall.

How vain of you to think
That everything was yours
This harlot
She has taken your hopes and your dreams
You’re foolish
And everything that you are
Was taken for everything
That you wanted to be

Illusions have become so very real
In my prison of insanity
I gave up everything for this crown
And what has it brought me?
She will guide me to my doom
So will lead me to my destruction
I shall falter
And i shall fall
For the end is nigh

My dreams kiss me goodbye
Their sweet taste remains upon my lips
Their arms pushing me away
Pushing me into this darkness
Where I am to spend eternity
This is my doing
This is my destruction
This is the fall of man
