Fallin

Fallin, fallin back into the habits I once had. Fallin, fallin back into the same ol’ thing. I’m fallin and I can’t escape, I need your grace. I need your help; I never want to go back to how it was. …be the girl I’ve tried so hard to separate to the woman I want to become. Yet I still find myself falling, in a trance of these fragments I used to be, these pieces I’ve tried so desperately to leave behind….yet here I am going right back to where I started.

Ain’t about them, it’s about how I felt when I saw them; it’s about the pain that was created in my mind, by my mind. I’ll hold up my head for the girls who’ve walked this road, I’ll hold my head up for those who are less fortunate, I will hold my head up for those who believe they are unlovable, I’ll hold up for my tired weary soul, and for others like me, I’ll hold up my head for those who question anything and everything, even the inevitable truth. I’ll hold up my head for those who crawl not because they’re young but becaure they feel too weak to walk. I’ll hold up my head for those who are terrified to breathe afraid it’ll “set em off”.

Fallin, fallin in this cycle that I struggle to break away from. Fallin, fallin into prayer, into faith, fallin into transformation. Fallin, fallin into my own metamorphosis. Fallin into the place where I can’t fear….anymore, where I can’t just settle ….anymore. Fallin into this place where I gotta break out, I gotta break this chain, I gotta show em all that they are not alone, gotta show em all that God is still listening, and waiting to help all those who have fallen.
