Falling Poem by Sarah Martens

Falling

Rating: 3.8

Falling was subtle and sweet.
Like plum purple coloured leaves in the fall,
letting go when they least expect,
Sifting and soaring in the soft cool breeze.

I wonder;
When did I turn colour,
And fall into your eyes so deep,
You have claimed my dreams,
Like stars aver the everlasting darkness in the night.
No more am I just one in this savage garden.
You are the stem that holds me up
And the thorn that protects me like a rose.

Falling was the beginning and the end;
The beginning to my dreams
and the end to the nightmares.
I have become full of life
Bliss is my theme
Love has grasped for my heart,
and consumed it as a whole.
My mind is inspired
To the very ends of my ability
I am a bud that has begun to fully bloom.

Falling was…
a star,
a flower,
a realization
of all that is, and all that will become,
from two souls discovering each other,
and learning to be one.
