Genocide Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Genocide

If you have never seen death
you wouldn't know
what it takes from you
to let someone go

If you have ever lost
your mom or dad
you know how it hurt
and made you feel sad.

If you have lost a child
by some design
you know how it tares at you
and burns through time

Can you even imagine
when its everyone you know
How can you live through it
where would you go

How can others watch
while innocents are killed
they are not armed solders
on some battlefield

time to get in the game
time to choose a side
choose to do something
time to save a life
