Golden Moments Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Golden Moments

Though crying here in pouring rain
You see my smiling face
Happy to speak with You again
Through blessed love and grace

I love these special times we share
The times when we are one
The times I stand or kneel in prayer
Through Jesus Christ Your Son

Though walking down this crowded street
Although the wind blows cold
Self pity makes a swift retreat
Through moments filled with gold

Such times I feel tremendous peace
Sweet moments so divine
Bringing with joy such swift release
From that before was mine

Yes even when my sins I bear!
When all my shame’s in view
I feel Your arms I feel You care
And know Your love is true

How sweet have grown these times my King
How great is my delight
When heart and soul begins to sing
In stillness of the night

Both You and I in one accord
Jointly in silent prayer
Where angels play sweet music Lord
And glory fills the air

Here is where I’m truly blessed
Where cares and woes take flight
Where heart and soul finds total rest
And You and I unite
