Goodbye America Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Goodbye America

Our country is dying
From the inside out
Corrupt politicians
Making us scream and shout
Family and friends
Are being torn apart
The disenfranchised are left standing
Alone in the dark
Our country is racing
To an untimely end
The powerful and wealthy
No longer our friends
The soldiers are guarding
Imposters on The Hill
Masquerading as Patriots
Who can't get their fill
The Gates of Hell
Have opened wide
The frozen lake fills
As the Betrayers die
Impeachment, Election
A virus not the flu
Leads to another impeachment
Loss of our liberties too
Vaccines come slowly
In this deadly race
You can't catch your breath
With masks on your face
Jobs are vanishing
As quick as they came
Thanks to one man
So frail and lame
America is dying
With each stroke of the pen
The enemies inside
Will bring on her end
Goodbye America
My country...my friend.
