Goody, Goody Poem by Ramona Thompson

Goody, Goody

Sticky sweet and full of artifical crap
A follower
Never ever a leader
Never ever speaking up or out of turn
Just like you
So damm boring and serene
That's what you would like me to be

Not a mover
Not a shaker
No breaking free of your robotic, poetic assembly
I have to be
I must be
Just one more prim and proper copy
Perfect and without flaws
I must be careful to never let any real human emotions
or part of myself shine

A sin
Such a twisted and terrible sin it would be
To step out of line
Reaching for something new, better and different
Oh no!
That just cannot be allowed
For me to be so bold when you yourself cannot
Why my oh my that would just destory your oh so fragile
peace of mind

Bull**** I call it
An angel with a devil's horns I am proud to say that I am
Never backing down
Never ever taking no for an answer
Won't be
Just can't bring myself to be
A pitful, sad, old fool
A saintly forgotten about tool

A goody goody like you
B**** better get used to it
That just ain't me
