Gravity Poem by Janice Walkden

Gravity

Rating: 3.5

As age creeps up on us all every year
I try not to worry and try not fear
But I’ve been thinking so much lately
of what I’ll be doing and who I will be

For life - it seems to go so fast
my youth is gone - its all in the past
What future is mine - what is to be told
when gravity tells me that I am too old!

I look in the mirror and who do I see
the face staring back - is that really me?
My eyes look tired - my hair’s turning grey
I’m getting older every single day.

I could easily dwell on going past my prime
but it would be wasting whats left of my precious time
So rather than worry - I’ll try to think clear
Plan for the future - while I’m still here

Now I’m thinking about what I’d like to do
The places to visit and the people too
My family and friends - all my loved ones around
All the joy and happiness that I’ve found!

A poem of positivity. We all grow older and sometimes look back (or in the mirror) and see where we've been........your poem is about looking all around us, at the future too, and making the best of it. I like this one, Janice. Very uplifting. Love, Fran xx

A good sentiment of life at hand... Never do we want to make life so ungrande. This poem is excellent. God bless thee-Michael Jeffrey Gale.
