Happy Go Lucky Poem by David Darbyshire

Happy Go Lucky

Rating: 5.0

At a young age you don't know a lot,
your mum and dad is all you really got.
You feel happy go lucky this is true,
and have the whole world in front of you.

To have a nickel or dime
there is plenty of time,
No need for work or money,
I'm lookin for good times honey.

As time goes by there will be a tear in your eye,
as you have changed from young to an old guy.
The sky is not so blue,
and mum and dad have left you.

You should have slowed down long ago,
married, settled got on with the show.
But when your young what do we know? ,
It's not to take your time, but to leave the nest go! .

All a parent can do is give them enough tools to help them through David! The hardest thing I would imagine, is making them go! lol Sweet poem, AT oops!
