He Hit Me Poem by Lacey Saulisbury

He Hit Me

Rating: 5.0

The Lies,

and The Hurt.

All The Shame,

The Desert.

Memories Scar My Skin,

The Survival is Thin,

Shoot me down,

Punch me out,

Dent the ground,

I cant shout.

Take that Knife,

Tie me up,

Stab my heart,

Not enought.

Watch my Blood,

as it Stains,

We've been Caught

In the Rain.

---------

D-E-A-D,

You've engraved in my chest,

'Cause thats what I am,

A dead slaughtered mess.

The red from my chest,

stains the soles of your shoes.

It will run down my arms

As I hang from your noose.

I'm stangled and choked,

The pain is from your hand.

and the pistol hurts most.

Now I'm forever brand.

My eyes sink as I fall,

over me you stand tall.

on the floor once again.

Will this soon be the end?

Why wont I die,

I dont know the reason why,

I'm still fully alive,

but on this floor I will lie.

At gun point from you,

Silenced throat from me.

You realize what you've done,

and now your sorry...

The damage is done,

But abuse is not,

If I try to leave,

You'll give me your best shot.

To The Head,

To The Throat,

Tie me up,

and I'm choked.

Once again this routine,

apologies you dont mean,

It will stay 'til I die,

When You proposed, I didnt know,

that this would be my life...

------------

I'm tired of all the lies,

and the hurt.

Too much shame, no desert.

No, you watch over me,

those watchful eyes,

eat my out from inside.

The bloody knives, and the carpet stains,

this life kills me, I'm insane.

These scars arn't from memories,

and that is the truth,

they strangle me tightly,

it hurts more than the noose.
