Heartbeat Poem by Tsani Jones

Heartbeat

Rating: 5.0

I feel you when all is silent.
That is why I cry in quiet.
No one hears,
I hide it so well.

Who's to say
Whether I cry from
My sadness when I
Can't touch you,

Who's to know if it
Is the joy that comes
From the surety
Of your love for me.

I am your blood,
Flowing through you
With gentle kisses that
Roam your body when you sleep.

But you are my pulse,
Quickening with every beat,
Growing stronger and anew
With every thought of your face.

Every day I think of you,
And at night I am calm and
Feel you next to my heart.
I cry because I am safe.
