I Call Your Name



I call your name
And all my apprehensions
Fly and fade away.

On through that moment
Of response
And passive impulse,
I garner my sights
And take heed.

Such insulation!

Give me more time
And I'll solemnly stare
At that same portrait
For a lifetime.
