I Will Survive Poem by Sindhu Gopalkrishnan

I Will Survive

My days of living are few
My dreams were scattered when a wind blew
Death struck with me like a glue
How to part from it, I have no clue
My torn life, I cannot sew,
Cannot replace with something new
Today, this day, I am alive
Can’t decide whether it is a dream or a lie
Thought I had end, last night
Never imagined I had see this day so bright
Dreamt of a happy life with you
A beautiful home for everyone to view
But you left when you realised the truth
Could’nt you wait till my last breathe
But perhaps, I had nothing to give
And hence you decided to leave
My love, you could never feel
You gave a wound which would never heal
You thought I had stumble in your absence
But, I attained nothing in your presence
For you, love was a play
You thought, I had beg you to stay
But I am still there where I lay
You thought I had die
Oh no! not I! I will survive
I will! ! !
