If Only Poem by Mike Morris

If Only

Rating: 4.8

If, by chance, I wrote an ode
That made good people smile
I'd change my metre, change my rhyme,
Completely change my style.
Until all of my poems
Were similar to the funny one
That hearing them, you'd laugh out loud,
Even if peeling an onion!

yeah that's good idea, your poems will attract attention when you break the usual monotonous, cliched, intellect-construct, tearjerker themes in a write. Everyone wants a smile on his face, reading something light makes life easy, laughter is a good medicine after all. Not an easy task though, I find it easier to make people cry than laugh with my writes but if u have the talent...go figure....that's rare!
