In Your Eyes Poem by Elizabeth Clair

In Your Eyes

In your eyes I see sorrow
In your eyes I see a child
Will you remember me tomorrow?
Will you remember how I smiled?
When you told me you loved me.
On the first day I met you my world changed,
I have never felt the same.
In your eyes I feel complete.
In your eyes I can’t compete.
In your arms I feel safe.
In your arms I feel warm.
Never let me go.
I drown in your eyes full of sorrow.
I will never hurt you like she did.
Your touch is intoxicating.
When I’m not with you a part of me is not around.
I can’t hear a sound,
Even the sound of thunder,
The sound of rain.
My world is just not the same without you.
