In your time
I'm happy to have lived,
grateful to have been born
In your heart
committed as a friend
for life, may I be sworn
as human beings
we're here but once
for greater, is our destination
growing up
within this world
where joy see-saws with tribulation
though Louis Armstrong
saw it 'wonderful'
not all, that would portray
but there are those like saints
who make it easier to stay
and you are one them
a special person in my story
the days we spend together
are what give my spirit glory
many gravitate to you
for you are like the ardent sun
enamouring and warm
with you, I'm always having fun
yes, living in your time's sublime
you help me to endeavor
and after mine is over
I'll remember it forever
