Invincible Poem by Cynthia Aluning

Invincible

I am mother earth...
I do provide people's wealth

I am the universal language
I make all communicate

I hang on mountain's cliff
I swim the deepest seas

I am invincible,
I am what I am...

I am a noble knight...
The sharpest swords, my shining armor

His majesty, the emperor...
Without a kingdom, what is a crown?

I am a beauty titlist...
Without some brain, I am but empty

On arable land, I am those seeds
With sun and water, there would be harvest

No man is an island, I do believe
Everything matches another...
Everyone relies on each other

I have a lofty nest with vast domain
Highly-spirited, I carved my way
Strongly-willed, I could soar high
But, the higher I fly, the heavier I fall

Am I invincible?
Am I really what I am?

I can cheat death...
I can go against my fate
I could celebrate life,
I could choose my own affair

When love speaks to me...
To choose between heart and mind
I am invincible...
Yet, I am but human

I have my feelings...
My imperfections
I am still weak...
Despite will to go on
I know in the end...
From the path I cross
My surrendering heart,
Is still in control

The great destiny is my boss!
I'm the secretary taking notes
It could dictate me my fate
All I got to do is to accept

A poetry book of my life
Its printed in black and white
The words I do not write
I live them as lines of my palm
I hope to favor, I couldn't defy
I'm not the master of my fate
Im just the writer of my book

Am I invincible?
I am...but...
I couldn't be what I want
I might not be what I am!

There's a lot of good stuff in this poem, I think, Cynthia. I like the image I've quoted below, a lot: A poetry book of my life Its printed in black and white The words I do not write I live them as lines of my palm
