Last Dance Poem by Kim McInnis

Last Dance

Once upon a time, I had dreams
One upon a time, I had hope
Then my stars fell from the sky
I saw the moon melt in your eyes
And when the flames had died and cleared
I saw it was to late...

And over time, the days will fade
And over time, the mind forgets
Then your sky will crash and burn
You see mistakes but never learn
And when the fog is gone and cleared
You'll see that it's too late...

But tonight - I'm here
But tonight - You're here
So tonight - Take my hand
We'll kill the past with one...
last...
dance...
