Lately Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Lately

Rating: 2.7

Lately I
have juggled butterflies,

ran downhill
trying to go up,

clung too close
squozze to hard
suffocated those I love.

Lately I
have been
lately
to
realize
I'm late
and the moment passed.

Lately I,
hesitate
to unclench my tense
fist,
uncoil my deadly eye,

release my gentleness.

Lately I
am much too late
to unhesitate
step up
my courage
thus
be on time
when it counts.

Lately I
have to unstop
being;
Lately.
