Movin' On Poem by The Poet Darkling

Movin' On

You said you're not ready, say you never were
I wonder if it's me, are you just not sure?
I've done all you asked me, been patient and true
I've made each move in preparation of you

I asked you what you wanted and I probed your mind
But all I get from you now are words unkind
I'm at an impasse, don't know which way to go
Never expected I'd be in the back row

Loneliness has waited, been patient and true
I wish I could say the same thing of you
I wish we could return to where our love shined
But you're movin' on and leaving me behind
