Peggy Sue Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Peggy Sue

Once, our friend held high office
He guided both me and you.
But all the glory he gave up
To be with his Peggy Sue.

I know what you are thinking:
That Peggy was his Bride
But you are quite mistaken
Because 'Peg' rules the ocean wide.

Peggy is a small sailing ship
Travelling the seas of blue.
She is his dream - his whole life
And he named her 'Peggy Sue'.
