Please Please Me Poem by michael spangenberg

Please Please Me

Resurfacing social pressure
Only to be shattered by brutality
That's life, to its most lawless extent.

Contemplation time, recalibrate
Unrealistic assumptions, damning your inner self
Immediately cease expecting Anything-at-all.

Enjoy the simple pleasures of life, no matter the cost
Compliance pressure, performance pleasure
- abandon pleasing family, friends and foes.

L'enfer c'est les autres
philosopher JP Sartre once said, If Hell
are the others, why the hell, please?
