Six Feet Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Six Feet

Six feet deep or more,
it is time for sleep,
this body was not meant,
to survive eternity so,
just a rolled up rug,
to lay me into slumber,
no hollowed ground,
beggars do not get ceremony,
bring on the maggots,
now is the time to let all things go.
