Stacey Poem by Angela Wybrow

Stacey

She's feisty and fiery; she's brave and bold;
She strongly believes that the truth should be told.
Across the globe, for years, she has travelled;
By her, secrets and lies have been unravelled.

She's eloquent, warm, and has oodles of style;
She's daring, determined, with a disarming smile.
With people she meets, she'll often empathise,
And heartfelt tears will flow free from her eyes.

She's curious, courageous, and in no way shy,
And she's certainly not afraid to question why;
From difficult questions, she doesn't shirk:
For her, it is all just in a normal day's work.

She soldiers onwards and is undeterred
By confrontation and angry words;
In other countries, where she's a stranger,
She isn't at all fazed by drama or danger.

There are times when she comes under fire,
But to uncover the truth is her one desire.
She is stubborn and she stands her ground;
When faced with fear, she won't back down.

The bad guys and girls, she will hungrily hunt,
And them, when found, she will bravely confront.
She won't back away from a harrowing story,
Or from the sight which is considered quite gory.

Searching for people with stories to tell
Is her real passion, and she does it so well.
Until the truth comes out, she will not rest;
Of investigative journalists, she's one of the best.
