Stupid Cupid Poem by Sunitria Couser

Stupid Cupid

What love plays is still sour
cupid hit the note
and broke the drums
that were once my ears
blood ran down
and tears spilled
wonder why
he would try to create
a match out of so much hate
why he would try to make me
when all he did was break me
into little pieces
trying to glue myself together
fit the pieces together
like they once were
missing is the critical piece
the one where my heart use to be
cupid i hate you
love is foolish you stupid fool
don't point that arrow my way
don't make me love him anymore
don't make me break anymore
my heart is missing
my heart he took it
and now i'm broken pieces everywhere
stupid cupid
stupid me
for loving so strongly
when it was the glaze of the freshnes
that had me stuck
finger lickin good only till it wore off
and i'm left with a sickening feeling
a day old
a day to late
i'm in love
i hate this feeling
i've fallen hard
i hate this feeling
were did it come from
this feeling
stupid cupid
why you make me love him still
why
