Take Me Home Poem by Chelsea Meigs

Take Me Home

In the corner of my mind
The bindings start to un-wind
And I see there's nothing left to find
Let's just run and hide

Oh rainbow come take me home
To a land I call my own
Now I'm chilled down to the bone
Because I'm here all alone

Nothing in my thoughts
Is what I think it ought
The demons grabbed up and I am caught
This is not the life I sought

Oh rainbow come take me home
To a land I call my own
Now I'm chilled down to the bone
Because I'm here all alone

Look into my eyes
See past all those empty lies
We need not compromise
For all these distant skies

In the corner of my mind
I see the rainbow it is mine
It is my ticket home
To the land I call my own
